Prepare to enter the “Shadows of Fear,” where the line between reality and nightmare blurs with every chilling step. This is no ordinary stroll; it’s a terrifying odyssey designed to assault all your senses and leave you questioning what’s real.
The scare actors are masters of their craft. They might be lurking in the deepest shadows, appearing from seemingly solid walls, or even blending into the elaborate scenery until their sudden, ear-splitting scream sends shivers down your spine. They don’t just jump out; they interact, whisper disturbing threats, or mimic your movements from afar, playing on your paranoia.
Special effects are abundant and strategically placed:
- Strobe lights and complete darkness: Disorienting your vision and creating an unpredictable environment.
- Fog machines: Thick, choking fog that can conceal frights or create a sense of claustrophobia.
- Air blasters: Sudden blasts of compressed air that make you jump out of your skin.
- Animatronics: Gigantic, grotesque figures that spring to life with startling realism.
- Sound design: From bone-chilling screams and guttural growls to unsettling whispers and unsettling, dissonant music that twists your stomach into knots. The soundscape is just as vital as the visuals in creating terror.
- Uneven flooring and narrow passages: Creating a sense of disorientation and vulnerability.
- Sensory effects: You might feel a cold breath on your neck, or brushes against your leg, or even the sensation of a phantom touch.

You’ll constantly be on edge, anticipating the next scare, your heart pounding in your chest. The line between what’s real and what’s a trick of the light or sound will blur, making every creak, every shadow, a potential threat. You’ll emerge from “Shadows of Fear” with your adrenaline pumping, your voice hoarse from screaming, and a lingering sense of unease that will stay with you long after you’ve left its dark embrace.
What rules am I expected to follow?
To ensure a safe and thrilling experience for everyone at Shadows of Fear, please read and respect the following guidelines. By entering our property, you agree to these terms:
- Respect Our Team: Our staff and actors are here to scare you, not be touched. Any physical contact with our team will be considered harassment and may lead to your immediate removal.
- Leave Props Intact: Please do not touch or damage our sets and props. You will be held liable for any damages caused.
- No Intoxication: For your safety and the safety of others, do not enter our property or attraction if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Be Kind: Harassing, verbally assaulting, teasing, or swearing at our employees will not be tolerated. Let’s keep the scares fun and respectful.
- Walk, Don’t Run: Please stick to designated customer paths and do not run. This is for your safety and the safety of other guests.
- Bag Check: For everyone’s security, all bags are subject to search upon entry.
- No Outside Items: Please leave weapons, outside food, and drinks at home.
- Keep Moving: For safety and to maintain the flow of the haunt, all guests must continuously move forward at a normal walking pace. Do not stop or intentionally slow down unless it’s to allow another group to pass you.
- No Photos or Video: To preserve the immersive experience for all, no cameras, flash photography, video recording, or live streaming is permitted inside the haunted house.
- No Smoking or Vaping: Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property.

Are you open Halloween Night?
We’re open daily from mid-September through early November, with the exception of Sundays. We’ll even be open on Halloween, unless it falls on a Sunday. For precise hours and our location, please check our “Hours and Location” page.
Can we come in costume?
Feel free to wear costumes! We simply ask that your costume is respectful and safe for everyone. Please avoid anything that is racist, obscene, hateful, or derogatory, including historical references. If your costume is too revealing or offensive, you may be asked to adjust it or change into something more suitable.
For everyone’s safety, masks and weapons are not permitted. Additionally, please ensure your costume doesn’t obstruct your view or protrude in a way that could be a hazard to others or the event sets. If you’re unsure whether your costume meets these guidelines, we recommend checking with event staff before you arrive.
Are there Restrooms?
Yes, we have clean restrooms located conveniently at the main entrance.
Is it too scary for young kids?
We aim to deliver a thrilling experience for everyone! While our actors often adjust their intensity for younger visitors, we can’t make guarantees. Please be aware that our attraction features graphic and intense scenes, comparable to a PG-13 horror movie.
What should I wear?
To ensure you have the best (and safest) fright night, please dress appropriately. Depending on the night, you might experience a wait in our outdoor queue, so dress for the weather conditions.
How long is Shadows of Fear?
Prepare for a chilling journey! Most brave souls take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to navigate the terrifying depths of our haunt, but your experience may vary depending on how fast you run… or scream!
Is the haunt handicap accessible?
We welcome all guests! A significant portion of our haunt is wheelchair accessible. Be aware that some of the pathways within the attraction are unpaved, consisting of gravel or dirt. In the few instances where an attraction isn’t accessible, we’ve provided alternate, accessible paths so you can seamlessly continue your journey through the scares without missing out.
